Job description

Oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of welding activities in both onshore and offshore environments.


Conduct inspections and tests on structures like jackets, decks, platforms, and wellheads to ensure adherence to industry standards.


Utilize SAP 8000 series for project tracking and reporting.


Ensure compliance with ARAMCO and other international standards in welding.


Perform NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) inspections using RT, UT, MT, and PT techniques.



Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection Planning: Develop and implement inspection plans based on project requirements, applicable codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, API), and customer specifications.

  2. Visual Inspections: Conduct visual inspections of welding processes, materials, and completed welds to identify defects and non-conformities.

  3. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Perform NDT techniques, such as radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), and liquid penetrant testing (PT), to detect internal defects in welds.

  4. Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, observations, and recommendations.

  5. Quality Assurance: Monitor and control the quality of welding processes throughout the project lifecycle.

  6. Code Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant welding codes and standards.

  7. Training and Supervision: Provide training and supervision to welding personnel as needed.

  8. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve welding quality issues in a timely and effective manner.
