Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineering or Technical School Graduate of Mechanical Engineering.
Must be able to read, write and speak English language.
15 years industrial construction experience including 10 years inspection related experience in a given inspection specialty.
Shall be fully conversant with Internationally known industry standards and specifications.
Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the Industrial HVAC standards and codes such as the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors (SMACNA), NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.
Shall have working knowledge of HVAC installations including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification for oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
Computer Literate.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Perform a variety of complex inspection functions within the assigned inspection discipline in addition to providing day-to-day work directions as required for the inspection of new or existing facilities, assuring that materials are correct for the intended service, work performed conforms with engineering specifications and/or SAUDI ARAMCO Standards, and monitor the implementation of the project Quality Control Program with minimal supervision. Example of this inspection but not limited to the following:
Performs inspections and witnesses tests on all HVAC phases of work activity.
Performs inspection and witnesses tests on approved materials assuring that materials and construction techniques meet design, engineering, and/or SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
Review and comment on revisions to the SAUDI ARAMCO and Industry standards.
Review and comment on quality control programs developed in construction contractors.
Perform in-depth design reviews to verify conformance to company engineering standards and specifications on projects in the design and construction stage.
Write inspection reports, worksheets, non-compliance reports, and make log book entries of on-site inspection findings and maintain inspection records.
Perform other miscellaneous related duties as directed by the field supervisor.
Train SAUDI ARAMCO personnel.
Review inspection waiver requests to ensure they accurately represent the condition described.
